When I first heard about the benefits of daily meditation, I was a little skeptical. However, I was open-minded and did my research. I found that many celebrities, corporations, and athletes do in fact meditate. Meditation helps you gain control of your analytical mind and all the sabotaging thoughts that are restraining you to mediocrity, and even an illness. It opens you up to the infinite intelligence within you and gives you a sense of direction. It can even heal your body from some of the worst diseases.
The benefits of daily meditation give you a larger perspective on real-life scenarios, so you can see the big picture. It separates you from the judgmental and the analytical mind. You can become more creative, intuitive, and you can even experience many health benefits. Once you learn how to get away from all the chatter of the analytical mind and listen to the infinite intelligence within you, your life will start to change.

Commitment to Change
When I started studying and researching those who were successful, there was one thing that kept showing up. It was that most of them practiced meditation. I figured, if these well-known people were meditating, then I was committed to doing the same. I didn’t even blink an eye.
If you would have talked about this subject a few years ago, I wouldn’t have been ready for it. But, now I am fully committed to changing my life. I know there are many people out there who feel lost by having no sense of direction or purpose in life. It wasn’t until I started meditating continuously that I truly felt happier and more fulfilled. There is now a deeper connection between my mind, body, and my soul.
I now have a strong meditation practice that I have been doing consistently for about 2 years. This wasn’t something I tried out every now and then. No. I wholeheartedly made a commitment and have not missed a day since I started. After about a month, it became a daily habit within my daily routine and is unbreakable.
Reduce Anxiety & Even Panic Attacks
The benefits of daily meditation made a huge impact on my life. I used to have anxiety and even panic attacks. I have even been hauled to the hospital with these panic attacks. If any of you can relate, it feels like you are having a heart attack. It’s like your whole world is crashing down on you. I felt so lost and scared and was afraid to go places because I didn’t want to be in public when it happened. I drank alcohol trying to fight through this stage of my life thinking it was helping.
It seemed like there was no hope. It wasn’t until I started practicing meditation that I was able to overcome my panic attacks. This isn’t a cure that just happens overnight. But by being disciplined and doing it consistently I was able to see drastic changes in my life. I haven’t had a panic attack since I have been practicing meditation.

Eliminate the Mind Clutter
With my busy and stressful workload, my sleeping patterns were very irregular. Some nights I would fall right to sleep, while others I would toss and turn all night. We all need sleep for our bodies to heal. I just had so much on my mind that it kept me up all night thinking about it. Our minds are racing around in our heads and it’s out of control.
I started seeing the benefits of daily meditation soon after I learned how to become disciplined and take control of my thoughts and my awareness. Eventually, my sleep pattern started becoming more consistent. I was actually getting a great night’s sleep and didn’t even have to self-medicate with sleeping pills. I now sleep like a baby. There are so many therapeutic chemicals that are being released throughout the body such as melatonin, serotonin, and dopamine.
Boosted Immune System
Another big change in my life was my boosted immune function from my meditation practice. It seemed like I was sick all the time during my kids’ school year. If they would come home with a runny nose and if I even looked at them I was sick. I tried everything ranging from emergency, vitamins, and other natural remedies trying to boost my immune system during the school year. But now, I don’t have to take any of those. In the last 2 years, I have had about 3 colds and healed through them in half the time as I used to. My kids are like a petri dish full of germs and by me being able to stay healthy is truly been a blessing.
There are so many people walking around being miserable. Trying to get people to smile these days is like pulling teeth. I have been there. With our jobs being highly demanding and workloads increasing, how can you be happy? When I was going through my anxiety, I wasn’t sleeping, and it was affecting my moods. I was up, I was down. One day I was happy, and the next I was depressed. With the benefits of daily meditation practice, I will vouch that I haven’t been this happy in a long time. My moods are now more consistent.
One thing you must realize, is we DO NOT need any material things, or even money to make us happy. I am not saying that we don’t need money. I am just saying that by learning how to be happy by being present and from escaping all the noise, your life will start changing. Start meditating and find your smile again. The world needs more people smiling. Too many of you are stressed out over such unimportant things in life.

One of my greatest feats from the benefits of daily meditation was the fact that I was able to overcome the pain from a pinched nerve in my spine. I used to get injections into my back every 6 months. I have degenerative arthritis in my lower back along with the pinched nerve. This has been an obstacle I have had to overcome the past 10 years of my life. I guess when my parents told me when I was younger, I better take good care of my body or I would pay the price later in life, I should have listened.
I can now say I have made it over a year without having to get an injection in my back. This is truly amazing. I not exactly sure if it is solely to my meditation or a combination of yoga and meditation. But either way, I can actually say I am pain-free. That is one of the many benefits of meditation.
Two things are happening when you meditate. One is that you stop noticing certain pains as much. Second, energy will start to flow freely throughout your nervous system healing you from the inside.
Prescription to Meditate
There are many universities and scientists who study the benefits of meditation. Some doctors are even prescribing meditation to their patients. In fact, my mother in law was just prescribed to meditate and do yoga for her high blood pressure. The well-known heart surgeon Dr. Oz has researched the practice of meditation and swears by its benefits.
There seem to be more autoimmune diseases that no one knows the cause or how to cure. This is when you must take a step back and realize our mind can in fact either make us sick or it can cure us of these diseases. I highly recommend Dr. Joe Dispenza’s book, You Are the Placebo. He reveals many cases where people have been able to heal the body with the powers of the mind.
Your Mind Doesn’t Know the Difference
There have been patients with bad knees supposedly cut open by the surgeon and then closed back up. However, no actual surgery took place. But when the patient woke up, their mind didn’t know the difference. These patients’ knees began healing and were able to have the same benefits as if they had the actual surgery.
Back in the World Wars when a combat surgeon ran out of morphine they wouldn’t tell the patient they had to use saline instead. The patient didn’t know the difference. There were many limbs removed without even a squabble of resistance from the pain without having the luxury of morphine.
Our Minds are a Mystery
Our minds are a mystery and a very sacred place. By meditating, you are tapping into this infinite intelligence. The more you do it, the more tuned into it you will become. You heal from the inside out. There is so much emotional trauma, stress, and negative energy that becomes stored in our bodies. This baggage manifests into a disease.
I strongly encourage everyone to start practicing the art of meditation and fully commit to it. You must make time for yourself. My wife and I have a goal to get people around the world to start practicing meditation. We figure by doing this we are making an impact in the world.
